Your Ops Leader Will Use the SCALE Framework

If you visit our website, we have a dissertation on how to use the SCALE Framework to grow digital agencies. However, what you won’t find, is how the process changes, if you’re going to focus for 10 weeks, on just applying to leveling up your Ops (as opposed to your entire business).

Here’s what you (and your Ops Leader) need to know:

SCALE. See Whats Happening

Key Question: Does your operator have visibility on processes, project management and performance to protect profit and stop fires before they start?

The first step of the Scale Framework is S - see what’s happening. For you to trust that your operator can take over, both of you will need dashboards, SOPs and optimized meetings for them to trust their own capability and for you to trust them and the system so you don’t get sucked back into micromanaging.

SCALE. Create A Baseline

Key Question: Does your operator have sufficient know - how on what to track to have baselines to make decisions the way you would and safe guard your reputation?

The second step of the scale Framework is C - create a baseline. What gets measured gets managed and for your business to scale without your operator costing you additional overhead or waisted conversations. Ensure they have the KPIs that will ensure the right processes are being focused on and they can manage the people effectively.

SCALE. Amplify How You Do It

Key Question: Can your operator prioritize what needs to be done in the business and know how to optimize the different parts of the operations to make them more efficient?

The third step of the scale framework is A - amplify how you do it. Your operator is probably already managing some level of documentation, projects and deliverables. But for you to get to the next level you need to have them direct how to do this in a way that increases capacity and optimizes profits in any economy or growth cycle.

SCALE. Lead And Delegate

Key Question: Is the operations documented well enough so that you can delegate to your operator and your operator can delegate to the team so Leadership can get out of the weeds and direct your vision?

Our fourth step fo the scale Framework is to L - lead and delegate. In order for you to focus on sales and growth you need to let your operator operate. Create the meta processes that allow for you to standardize any pert of the business so that anyone on the team can step in and do them. Give your operator (and the business) the gift of delegation mastery so the senior people n your organization can lead.

SCALE. Exit And Oversee

Key Question: Can the operator fully run the team and production so you can exit for a weekend, a month or forever and have the business run without you?

The last step is to E - Exit and oversee. All of the owners in our program have been able to disconnect for atleast two weeks with minimal check-in to the team while the operator held down the fort(without loss of quality). The ones that were committed to making their operations their competitive advantage were able to see their business grow while they were gone. This is the first step in truly exiting.

FAQs

Can I, as the owner, register instead of my ops lead?

Absolutely! We have had some owners create amazing results in documentation, increased capacity and overall growth. One even made their whitelable partner so jealous of their systems that their partner agency joined.

Would it be possible for my assistant, project manager, or co-founder to attend the training with me?

The intention is to have 1 person attend this training per organization without making people "pay per seat.". Feel free to share a password if you want to divide and conquer the work but if you want someone else to attend live sessions, work shops and be part of the community then absolutely reserve two spots for this training program - one for you and one for them! This way you both get the knowledge and opportunity to ask questions and be in it to win it together.

The person on my team I want to do this training is leaving - should I still register them?

Tricky, tricky.

If you are asking this question you either need to download their brain ASAP or their an integral part of the team and you need to download their brain asap or their the only ones with the know how to do this in the organization. 

I say you register them and we will put a plan in place for you to prioritize exactly what they need to do in the program and what else the organization needs. Also, if they leave at some point in the program we can swap them out for new team member without additional charge.

Can I have my note taker attend live calls?

Yes, your Grain, Fireflies and Fathom are allowed (for now - we are open to change our minds depending on how the bots are behaving). However, we will send recaps with transcripts so you don't have to worry about note taking and stating present.

Our Agency is above a million and we have a document hub in place (but it could use some work) - is this program the right fit?

Absolutely, we have had businesses that are over a million do the training resulting in super tight documentation that has increased the performance of their team and made onboarding new team members 4x faster. Your processes are living breathing parts of your business and optimization yields profits and performance.

We are not an agency can we still join?

Absolutely, the process principles we will cover are fundamental to any business. Our examples will be geared towards agencies but we can customize what you need in your processes during live calls.
